so today one of the most random memories came back to my head as i listened to the wind howling in the trees. it was just one part of an act from some comedian who i cant remember at all but i just suddenly remembered what a good point he had with this one, and it went something like this:

"i always wondered why christians decided to use the cross as the symbol for their religion. they put it on their churches, they wear it on necklaces, but when jesus finally does comes back down to earth from heaven, do you really think that the first thing he'll want to see is another fucking cross?"

it just makes so much sense that its scary.

That reminds me of a comment my brother's friend made as we drove by this house with a whole big manger scene, complete with a 6' cross backlit by red lights.

"So the first thing that Baby Jesus sees when he's born is a huge cross looming over him? I mean, c'mon, give him a chance!"

Olga! It's Matt -- what's your screenname? I'm getting a 91.58% in English, and I want someone that I can trust wih my grade to edit my paper (of course, if you don't mind). Thanks a lot.

Nah, I don't mind. Especially after you mentioned it on Friday. I'll run through it for you and, if you're lucky, will even have a chance to give it to Colleen (she edits my papers).
